Boise State's softball team made it a perfect 5-5 this weekend at the Bronco Invitational Softball Tournament.
Coach Erin Thorpe's team won all five games, including an 8-0 win in five innings today.
Singles by Kellie Caplan, Tazz Weatherly and Allie Crump and a grand slam by Devon Bridges have propelled Boise State to a 4-0 first-inning lead over Southern Utah. Kelly Sweeney then singled to center and, following an error that allowed her to go to second and Mackenzie Whyte to reach first safely, scored on Ashley Collier's hit to make it 5-0. Crump also homered to aid the Bronco cause. Collier allowed one hit over four innings to get the victory.
