Wesson Wins 200

Boise State's Manoah Wesson edged Brett Blanshan of Washington State to take the 200-meter run today at Jackson's Track.  Wesson crossed the tape in 21.60, followed closely by Blanshan in 21.80.

Bronco Swimmers Lead Wyoming 166-94

With just a few events remaining, the Boise State swimming and diving team is taking it to their counterparts from Wyoming.  The Bronco women lead the Cowgirls, 166-94 at the Boise West Family YMCA.

Seniors Stevie Hughey (56.29) and Rachel Heaney (57.16) were able to finish 1-2 in the 100 butterfly.  Heaney also won the 200 fly with a time of 2:01.61.  Emily Campbell (1:04.91) and Sydney Johansen (1:04.96) finished first and second in the 100-yard breaststroke while Chelsea Miller (2:18.96) and Campbell (2:19.40) were 1-2 in the 200-yard breaststroke.  Seniors Devin Madsen and Sam Wicks were 1-2 in the 100 backstroke with times of 56.22 and 57.65, respectively.     

Seniors Jess Bottelberghe (1:51.01) and Brooke Balogh (1:53.86) finished 1-2 in the 200-yard freestyle while Bottelberghe won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 51.37.  Emri Moore took first in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:03.88 while Madsen was first in the 200 backstroke in 2:01.86.  Boise State also won the 200-yard medley relay.  

Two Wins for Boise State Track Team in Bronco Invitational

Will Lohman captured the weight throw title at today's Bronco Invitational at Jackson's Track in Nampa.  Lohman heaved the ball 56-feet, 7.50-inches.

Lauren Lucas won the women's mile in 5:09.03.

It has been a disappointing meet for the Broncos otherwise, with a few field events left and the track finals getting underway.
