Kustra Announces Major Changes for Boise State

In his State of the University Address, Boise State President Dr. Bob Kustra revealed that major things are happening on campus.

First, the University has received a ten-million dollar federal grant to build a Center for Biomedical Research.  Students will be able to boost cell research at the Center, which will help impact how heart disease and strokes are treated.  This has implications not only for students, professors, and the reputation of Boise State, but for citizens of the state of Idaho and the  United States.

Second, Kustra announced that the College of Innovation and Design, something he has been working on for some time, is now a reality.  This too has a major impact on how the university is viewed by its peers.  The field is on the cutting edge at major universities, including Stanford.

Boise State has grown its number of graduates by 70% in less than fifteen years.

Boise State Basketball Team Will Play Wisconsin This Season

The Broncos will have quite an opportunity this fall when they take on Wisconsin, a team which advanced to the Final Four last year.  How many opportunities can one team have in their lives?

The game is scheduled for November 22 in Madison, Wisconsin, the first time the two teams have met on the hardwood.  The Boise State football team played them way back in 1997, and had the game won when Wisconsin scored a last-minute touchdown.
