Boise State Women in Second After First 18 Holes

Boise State is temporarily in second place at the Mountain West Women's Golf Championships.  The Broncos led early but are now four strokes back of Fresno State after the opening day.  Fresno is 18 over par while the Lady Broncos are at +22 with a team score of 310, #55 San Diego State is two strokes back while #43 UNLV sits at 26 over. 

Senior Hayley Young led her team with a 3-over-par 75, scoring birdies on two of the final four holes to tie for fourth individually.  Young trails Emily Roering of Colorado State by two strokes.

Freshmen Sammie Pless (77) and Samantha Martin (78) also finished in the Top 15 on opening day while senior Lori Harper and freshman McKenzie Ford each shot an 80 to tie for 19th individually.

The second round gets underway at 8:30 with Boise State teeing off at approximately 10 A.M.

Fresno State Ties Boise State Women's Team

They've played nine holes, and Fresno State has come from behind to tie Boise State at 9 over at the Mountain West Women's Golf Championships.  #43 UNLV is 12 over while #55 San Diego State is 15 over par.  

Lady Broncos Lead MWC Golf Championship Early

The first round is barely underway, but Boise State is off to a good start.  The Broncos are five over, trailed by UNLV at 7 over, while Fresno State and San Diego State are 10 over.

UNLV and San Diego State are the favorites.
