Boise State Women with a Shot at 10th
I did a quick projection on the remaining events tomorrow. Kentucky and Arkansas will finish ahead of the Broncos for sixth and seventh, but after that, it will be close.
I project the following:
8. LSU 27
9. Stanford 24
10. Akron 20
11. Boise State 20
Aisling Cuffe of Stanford, the woman Bates beat in the Regionals, will race tomorrow night. If Bates can get second, or finish ahead of Cuffe, Boise State can finish in the Top 10, and possibly as high as 9th.

Howard Breaks Mountain West Conference Record
Howard now holds the MW all-time record in the 3,000m steeplechase (9:43.82). She broke the previous record that had held for fourteen years, and Howard's time was the 12th-fastest steeplechase time in NCAA history.
BREAKING: Howard Finishes Second
Super finish! Howard was sixth going into the last lap, and fifth with about 200 yards to go. She was, with the exception of the winner,Leah O'Connor of Michigan State, the fastest woman at the finish. Howard out-sprinted #1-ranked Shalala Kipp of Colorado, caught Rachel Johnson of Baylor, and finished second in the nation.

Marisa Howard About To Race in National Steeplechase Final
Marisa Howard, the Boise State record holder in the steeplechase, is about to race in the event of her life, the final of the event at the NCAA National Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon. As we detailed earlier in the week, three of the Top 10 in this event failed to qualify on Wednesday. Howard was #8 coming in to the meet.
She'll step to the finish line along with 11 other competitors at 6:35 MT tonight.
