Felix Slips to Third After Pole Vault

Felix is now in third after doing well for him in the pole vault, but far short of others.


Here are the standings with two events left:

Felix is really good at the javelin, but poor in the 1,500 meters.  He's going to have to run one heck of a 1,500 to win.  In any case, barring disaster, Kurt should attain All-America status.


Here are what these decathletes did at their conference championships in the two remaining events:


Barroilhet--658 points in javelin, 624 in 1,500-meters.  That would give him a total of 7,874 points.


Barrefors--534 in javelin, 655 in 1,500, for a total of 7,755.


Felix--884 in javelin, 473 in 1,500 for a total of 7,877.


Lazas--702 in javelin, 632 in 1,500 for a total of 7,814.


Nixon--691 in javelin, 742 in 1,500 for a total of 7,903.
