Boise State alumnus Alisha Young has been promoted to Assistant Coach of the Bronco volleyball team by head coach Shawn Garus. Young served as a volunteer assistant last fall before being hired as director of operations this past spring. Young replaces Skydra Orzen, who left the program for other opportunities.
Young will train the middle blockers, be in charge of the video program, assist with day-to-day operations, and help out with the team's outreach/community service activities, clinics, tournaments and camps.
Alisha was an all-conference performer and academic honoree from 2007-2010, finishing second all-time in career points with 1,271.5 and ninth in kills with 1,055. Young set the school record for points in a season in 2010 with 524.5.
