Heat One is finished and Kurt Felix of Boise State is about to get his try at the 400 meters. This is the final event in the decathlon on Day One of competition at the Summer Olympics in London. Felix is currently in 9th place.
Felix ran a 48.77 in the 400 meters at the NCAA Championships, when he won the decathlon, earning 872 points in the event. Only one decathlete in the first heat beat that time.
