Amber Boucher and Stephanie North have done it--gone 1-2 in the 50-yard freestyle. Both had NCAA "B" qualifying times. Boucher's time of 22.31 broke the existing Mountain West Conference record she broke earlier in the day. Stevie Hughey clocked in for fifth, giving Boise State a whopping 51 points in the event. They were projected to get 37. San Diego State scored 14 because they didn't qualify anyone for finals--that's 11 less than projected, meaning a net gain in this event for Bosie State of 25.
