The Blue-Gray Tennis Classic is finally underway in Montgomery, Alabama after matches were canceled yesterday.
Auburn leads Boise State 2-1. Bettles lost to Stamchev of Auburn 6-4, 6-3 while Patton lost 6-4, 6-0. Sereke beat Ollert of Auburn 6-3, 6-4.
James Meredith won the first set 6-4 only to lose 7-5 in the second set. He leads 2-1 in the third set. Sears also won the first set 6-4 but lost the second set 6-4. He too leads 2-1 in the third set.
Pogostkin won the first set 6-4 but lost the second 6-4 and is trailing the third set 3-1. If he loses, both Meredith and Sears need to win.
Four of the six Bronco singles players won their first sets.
