The Boise State women, seeing how the Bronco men made it possible to make some noise at the Blue Gray Tennis Classic, followed suit today and beat Michigan State 4-3.
They did it in the same way the men did yesterday, falling behind in doubles, then rallying for four singles wins.
Sandy Vo evened the match with a 6-2, 6-2 win. Then, after a Spartan win at #6 singles, Megan LaLone got it done with a 6-2, 7-5 victory at #4 singles. Morgan Basil followed by rallying 4-6, 6-0, 6-3 to win at #2 singles, and the Broncos were a point away. Michigan State prevailed at #5 singles to tie the match, and Marlena Pietzuch sent the Broncos home happy with a 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 win at #1 singles.
