Jason Chamberlain leads five Broncos into the upcoming NCAA Wrestling Championships as a #2 seed at 149 pounds. Chamberlain will meet freshman Caleb Irvin of Illinois in the opening round. Ervin with 22-12 and finished sixth at the Big Ten Championships.
Jake Swartz drew the #10 seed at 184 pounds, and he'll meet sophomore James Cook of Campbell. Cook is 8-6 this season, but scored two pins in his conference tournament. Heavyweight J.T. Felix is the #11 seed and will take on Justin Grant of Bloomsburg. Grant was 24-4 and presents a tough challenge for Felix.
George Ivanov will take on Daniel Zilverberg of Minnesota at 157 pounds; Zilverberg was fifth at the Big Ten Championships. Brian Owen will meet Lehigh's Randy Cruz in the opening round. Cruz is 31-10 and won the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association championship.
The Championships are set for March 21-23 in Des Moines, Iowa.
