The 10/20 Club

As promised, here's more information on the 10/20 Club, which I began keeping track of several years ago.  My data goes back to 1980, and the further you go, the tougher it is to verify records, especially in basketball.  But all of the following have been confirmed.

To achieve membership in the 10/20 Club, a school must win 10 or more regular-season games in football and 20 or more regular-season games in basketball in the same school year (fall to spring).  Post-season playoffs, bowls and tournaments do not count, which is what makes the 10/20 Club a significant achievement.  A conference championship in football, bowl games, and conference and other post-season basketball games merely add more games, making it easier to win 10 and 20 games, respectively.  But it dilutes the achievement and not only that, doesn't compare favorably to schools in the past that achieved the 10/20 Club without playing extra games.
