Quarterback Kellen Moore, who will aim to become the all-time winningest quarterback in NCAA history this season, heads the list for the Broncos; Moore was also named Preseason Offensive Player of the Year. Senior running back Doug Martin and senior linemen Thomas Byrd and Nate Potter join Moore on the offense, while senior linemen Shea McClellin and Billy Winn and senior safety George Iloka are on the First-Team defense. Junior Chris Potter was chosen as the Preseason All-MWC punt returner.
Boise State opens the 2011 season against Top 25 Georgia September 3 at the Georgia Dome.
