Boise State finished with 835 points to win the title. Hawai'i turned out to be their closest challenger with 577, followed by NAU (535), San Jose State (499), New Mexico State (405), Nevada (326), Fresno State (276) and Idaho (213).
Here is how they did it.
(From earlier tonight) Only a flurry of upsets will stop Boise State from repeating as WAC Champions and getting the Broncos' second conference championship of the day.
Jennifer Cahill did well in the 1650-yard freestyle, placing third.

Hey be easy on the media coverage- maybe it was because our SID was busting his tale to get the official stats from the WAC (who didn't make sure he got internet access at the meet-the press releases had to be done offsite). Side note- nice job predicting SJSU to run away with the meet. If you scored out the top times champ meet style before the event you would have discovered we were the favorites...by almost 150+ points. We all had a good laugh about it before the meet- don't know how to read results well do you? That's OK- we are glad for your support-and I am sure you are glad about being wrong as well! Go Broncos!
ReplyDeleteSorry you didn't read the actual words in the article but read between the lines and formed your opinion. The article said San Jose State was "A Favorite", not "The Favorite". Big difference.
ReplyDeleteSecond, did you ever stop to think I pumped up San Jose State to get the gals fired up? You'll pick up on that as you read more.
Thanks for writing!
