One more try for the Bronco heptathlete. He's too good to go out at 6-9 3/4.

Kurt probably needs 7 feet to finish in the top four today. He needs to do that because his best events are the first four, and he will continue to slide down in the rankings tomorrow.
Felix Clears 6-9 3/4 on Final Attempt in Heptathlon High Jump at 2012 NCAA Indoor National Track & Field Championships
Felix and Cory Holman of Georgia and Japheth Cato of Wisconsin are the only three high jumpers left in the fourth and final event of the heptathlon today. Three events tomorrow. The previous leader in the heptathlon, Gray Horn of Florida, bowed out at 6-6 1/4.

Burnett 12th, Cortney 25th in 3-Meter Dive
It is my understanding that the NCAA chooses seven divers total from these competition, not necessarily the top seven in any one event. If Amanda can do well in platform, she still might make the cut.

Burnett has a total score of 194.40. She has to finish in the top seven to move on to Nationals. The #7 diver has a score of 210. Teammate Ciera Cortney is 39th.
Burnett Hits a 54.60 at Zone E Championships
Amanda Burnett executed a great dive in the three-meter competition just now at the Zone E Diving Championships. She received 54.60 for her dive and is temporarily in 7th place, although several other divers are yet to go in the fourth round. There are six dives total, and only seven divers advance to the NCAA National Championships.

Boise State's Amanda Burnett and Ciera Cortney, who hung right with San Diego State's Anna Steiner at the Mountain West Championships, are 26th and 32nd respectively after three dives in the three-meter diving at the Zone E Championships in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Steiner is 2nd.

Felix Has Won Heptathlon Long Jump
Kurt's 25-foot jump in his second attempt was enough to win the long jump portion of the heptathlon at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Nampa. He earned 970 points for his effort.
