Miller Named Freshman All-America

Boise State wide receiver Matt Miller was chosen to the Freshman All-America team by the Football Writers of America.

Miller, who set freshman records in receptions (462), yards (679) and touchdown catches (nine), was also named to the Second Team by Yahoo Sports.  Previous Bronco records were held by Austin Pettis, who hd 46 catches for six touchdowns in 2007 and Titus Young, who had 639 receiving yards that same season.

#14 Boise State Gymnasts Host #16 Washington

#14 Boise State opens its season with a key match Friday night against #16 Washington.

The meet gets underway at 7 p.m. in Taco Bell Arena.  Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for juniors and senior citizens.  Students are admitted free.  A $50 Bronco Sports pass, however, is your best way to go because that will get you access to all home games for gymnastics, women's basketball, volleyball, soccer, wrestling, outdoor track and field and softball.

Washington defeated Michigan State last week on the road, 1973.175 to 191.825.  Washington is the first of four Top 25 teams on Boise State's schedule.

Come on out and be the difference in this crucial gymnastics meet!

Isham Honored by Mountain West

Kati Isham was singled out for her play last week by the Mountain West Conference, which named Isham the Player of the Week.

Isham helped the Broncos rally to beat former and future Western Athletic Conference rival New Mexico State with a 23-point perfomanc.  Isham canned 47.1% from the floor (8-17), including a perfect five-for-five from the free throw line,  pulled down a careerh-high six rebounds, and had two assists, a block and a steal.  With the Broncos trailing by five with five and a half minutes remaining, Isham hit six consecutive points to give Boise State its first lead 50-49.  Isham also scored the final four points with a layup and two fre throws as the Broncos prevailed 56-53.
