Bronco Gymnastics Program Returns to WAC

Boise State has announced that its nationally-ranked gymnastics program will return to the Western Athletic Conference beginning this year.


The gymnasts did not have a conference last year, when they were ranked 13th in the nation.  The Broncos competed in the WAC for 10 years, winning two regular season championships and three postseason tournament.


"We are thrilled to be back in the WAC and look forward to some exciting competition in the 2012 season," said co-head coach Tina Bird.


The 2012-13 WAC gymnastics team members include: Boise State (affiliate), Sacramento State (affiliate), San Jose State, Southern Utah (affiliate), University of Denver and Utah State. The 2013 WAC Championship gymnastics meet will be hosted by Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah.
